§ 1995-present have worked for over 9 years at a community college [j. sargeant reynolds] and three universities [new mexico state university, virginia union university, and virginia commonwealth university]

§ have created and used online interactive materials for students in the first two years of spanish at vcu

§ at vcu, have taught elementary, intermediate and advanced spanish as well as spanish 495-the portfolio class for spanish majors –in this class, students have to create a language portfolio based on the global language portfolio, which has been developed mostly at vcu by dr. patricia cummins

§ lead the vcu studies abroad program in guatemala during the summer of 2004
